Everyone is

One by one, they leave for big companies. People who stayed with smaller companies for years are moving on. I moved around too much. Never had the chance to stick to one thing and go deep. What if I keep struggling like this and reach the end without ever achieving anything big?

Maybe the problem was me all along. My career is scattered, with no clear strength. Always this and that... I may be good at taking on something new, but there is no compelling reason to hire me. Without an outstanding track record, why hire me when they could hire juniors? And I should no longer apply for anything below principal.

This, too, is my karma. All I can do is keep working, do my best with what I'm given, and go beyond it...

Everyone will be fine. Except me...
